Easy 4 Step Guide to Protect Your Carpet from Stains

by Adam

Are you looking for a product that will protect your carpet from unwanted bad stains?

Our Profab Carpet and Surface Protector forms a protective barrier that repels water and oil-based liquids to shield your carpet (or rug) from a wide variety of nasty stains around the house, such as; food & drink spills, mud, dirt, grime, paint, makeup and many more. It prevents these liquids from soaking into the surface of the carpet making it far easier to clean up spills and helps reduce the risk of permanent stains, increasing the lifespan of your carpet.

It also works and offers protection on many other surfaces like fabric/leather sofas, curtains, cushions, headboards, mattresses, trainers and shoes!

Here’s our 4-step guide to protect your carpet from unwanted stains:

You will need the following:

Boden Profab - Carpet & Surface Protector

Handheld sprayer or over-the-shoulder sprayer

Protective rubber gloves

Protective mask (recommended but not essential)

Step 1

Begin by making sure the area you are spraying is clear of any clutter. This will allow you to access most of the area and provide an efficient application. Also, open any windows in the room to make sure there is good ventilation.

Step 2

Transfer the carpet protector into either a handheld sprayer (available here) or an over-the-shoulder sprayer (available here). The spray pressure should not exceed 60 psi (pounds per square inch) and the solution should not be broken up into small units.

Step 3

Start applying the carpet protector at even rate of 50 – 100g per sq. metre, depending on how absorbent the surface is. Whoever is spraying the carpet protector, along with anyone in the vicinity, should avoid any inhalation of the spray mist. To help prevent this occurring, we recommend you wear suitable protective masks.

Step 4

Sit back and let the product dry in. Once dry, your carpet will be protected. Say goodbye to nasty stains!

Tip: To speed up drying time, switch the heating on. Or, turn your forced ventilation system on if you have one.

Easy 5 Step Guide to a Sparkling Clean Floor

by Adam

Are you struggling to get your flooring looking squeaky clean? Are you having to clean your floor more often than you would like? Or are you just unsure how to actually clean your hard surface floor?

Why not try our excellent Heavy Duty Floor Cleaner! It works on vinyl, amtico, lino and most other hard surfaces and quickly cleans mud, dirt and grime form even the most high traffic areas.

Here’s our 5-step guide to getting your floor looking more sparkling than ever.

You will need the following:

Heavy Duty Floor Cleaner

Bucket or Floor Cleaning Machine

Mop or cloth

Step 1

Begin by making sure your floors are clear of any clutter. Move any items off the floor, such as; shoes, bags, rugs, etc. This will allow you to access every area of your floor allowing for an efficient clean.

Step 2

You will need to prepare your floor cleaner to get as much use as possible by diluting it. Dilute the product into one of the following:

- Bucket

Sparkling Clean Floors

- Floor Cleaning Machine (Check out these deals over at Kaercher)

Dilution ratios:

Depending on how dirty your floor is, you can dilute the product with warm/hot water at dilutions of 1:10 to 1:100 (Floor Cleaner:Warm/Hot Water), giving you unbeatable value for money. For best results, we would suggest a ratio of 1:10, however, the higher the ratio – the longer the product will last.

Step 3

You’re ready to begin cleaning! Start applying the formula to the floors using your appliance of choice. If you are using a mop or cloth, scrub thoroughly for best results. Leave for 5 minutes, then repeat.

Step 4

Rinse the floor thoroughly using a damp cloth, sponge or anything similar that is suitable.

Step 5

Sit back and relax for around 30 minutes during the drying period. Pop open a window to help speed up the drying process. If it’s too cold outside, pop the heating on for a while. Your floors will now be squeaky clean thanks to our Heavy Duty Floor Cleaner.

Tip: If you have used a mop or cloth, to extend the product life, make sure you rinse the formula off thoroughly using clean water.
